Headquartered in Nazaré Paulista (SP), ESCAS – Escola Superior de Conservação Ambiental e Sustentabilidade (Faculty for Environmental Conservation and Sustainability) is an IPÊ initiative for the training of professionals and future leaders in the socioenvironmental area. The school is the result of efforts by its researchers aiming at multiplying knowledge acquired in field studies and transferring its experience in the area. Since 1996, 5.971 people have already been trained in short courses and, since 2006, also in post-graduate courses: The MBA in Management of Social-Environmental Business and the Professional Master’s in Conservation of Biodiversity and Sustainable Development.
Training professionals from Brazil, the USA and Latin America, ESCAS works on a different model of education, allowing students to: apply their knowledge in practice; relate closely to researchers and professors, expand networking; and access qualified and multidisciplinary education, guaranteeing a broader view of the themes covered.
