Casa IPÊ na COP30

Casa IPÊ (IPÊ House) in Belém Will Host Experts to Debate Key Topics of COP30

29 de October de 2025 by Paula Piccin

In partnership with Havaianas and the Sol de Janeiro Foundation, the space is open to the public but subject to capacity limits. Check the schedule and plan your visit.

While in the Blue Zone — the official and restricted area where international climate negotiations and decisions will take place during COP30, the 30th UN Climate Change Conference in Belém — at Casa IPÊ, also located in the capital of Pará, experts from various fields will debate the most relevant and urgent topics for tackling climate change.

Representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), government, private companies, traditional and Indigenous peoples and communities, the press, and influencers are among the diverse actors who will be present in this plural space. The aim is to connect the interested public with what is happening within the global negotiation sphere and how these discussions should reflect in the actions of each group.

“Casa IPÊ is, at its core, a space for exchange among those who wish to discuss today’s most challenging issues, bringing forward solutions with a critical, constructive perspective, grounded in collective action,”
says Andrea Peçanha, coordinator of Casa IPÊ at COP30.

The venue is located just over 1.5 km from both the Blue Zone and the Green Zone, and event attendance is subject to capacity limits. Check the agenda and plan your visit:

Casa IPÊ is supported by significant partners, including Havaianas and the Sol de Janeiro Foundation.
The partnership between Havaianas and IPÊ has lasted for over 21 years. The brand donates 7% of the net value of sales from sandals designed exclusively with the Institute to support the organization’s biodiversity conservation work.
Since 2025, the Sol de Janeiro Foundation has been funding several IPÊ initiatives, such as forest restoration and ecological corridor projects in southern Bahia, as well as scholarships for students pursuing professional master’s degrees at ESCAS, IPÊ’s environmental school.
