AR Corridors of Life (Carbon) Project<\/h1>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As of 2021, the Life Corridors project, carried out since 2002 by IP\u00ca – Institute for Ecological Research – will have its actions expanded by the partnership between IP\u00ca and the Biophilic Ambipar Environment. Together, IP\u00ca and Biof\u00edlica are carrying out the AR (Afforestation \/ Reforestation) Corridors of Life (Carbon) project, focused on generating carbon credits from the restoration of the Atlantic Forest in the Pontal do Paranapanema region, in the far west of S\u00e3o Paulo state.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The agroforestry nurseries produce seedlings of Atlantic Forest species that are used by the settlers on their properties. Besides this, they are a source of income for families and of knowledge for students in Pontal do Paranapanema. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Conservation of the Black Lion Tamarin<\/h1>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Black Lion Tamarin Conservation Program was the seed for the creation of IP\u00ca. The conservation efforts began back in 1984, when Claudio Valladares Padua decided to completely change his life to dedicate himself to the conservation of this rare species, which was once considered extinct from the wild, but was rediscovered in the 1970s.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Agroforestry systems (SAFs) are productive systems that enhance production in a sustainable way, balancing economic, social, and environmental gains.
