To do this, it creates joint strategies that engage these actors in actions that generate mutual benefits for its participants and the cause.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2003, we have been carrying out customized projects for companies and organizations, which are directly related to IP\u00ca&#8217;s mission and to the objectives and values of the partner institutions. See some examples of who has already been our partner and get inspired to participate with us in actions like this one:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4ae83be jltma-glass-effect-no elementor-invisible elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4ae83be\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;fadeIn&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><style>\na{color:#34a853}<br \/><\/style><\/p><h3 class=\"contentheading \">IP\u00ca and Coelba agreement<\/h3><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ipe.org.br\/images\/negocios_sustentaveis\/outras_atividades\/coelba\/Coelba_horizontal_alta.jpg\" alt=\"Coelba horizontal high\"><\/p><p>In 2012, IP\u00ca and Coelba &#8211; Companhia de Eletricidade do Estado da Bahia &#8211; signed an agreement to carry out forest restoration in the Atlantic Forest of southern Bahia, in accordance with the company&#8217;s &#8220;Energia Verde&#8221; project. The project aims, with consumer support, to increase the area of vegetation in the biome in order to increase the supply of ecosystem services, support climate change mitigation and conserve soil, water and local biodiversity.<\/p><p>To take part, customers sign up to the project and donate R$3, R$5 or R$7 each month, to be charged to their electricity bill over 12 months. The money raised is invested in reforesting degraded areas of Atlantic Forest in the south of Bahia. In return, the project offers participants the right to a bonus on the purchase of an air conditioner, refrigerator, freezer or LCD television certified with the Procel Energy Saving Seal and provides six 15W compact fluorescent light bulbs.<\/p><p>To carry out the work, IP\u00ca has a local partnership with Pol\u00edmata Solu\u00e7\u00f5es Ambientais, the local partner responsible for making the project operational.<\/p><p>The agreement will restore 28 hectares and will be implemented in the last quarter of 2012, with 90% local labor. It will be carried out on the property of cattle farmers in the municipalities of Itap\u00e9 and Jussari, who are interested in recovering areas of their properties to make up the percentage needed to form their Legal Reserve and to recover springs to supply water to the property.<\/p><h3>About Coelba<\/h3><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ipe.org.br\/images\/negocios_sustentaveis\/outras_atividades\/coelba\/coelba_marca_alta_Ener.verde_1.jpg\" alt=\"coelba marca alta Ener.verde 1\"><\/p><p>Companhia de Eletricidade do Estado da Bahia &#8211; Coelba is the third largest electricity distributor in the country in terms of number of customers and the seventh in terms of volume of energy supplied. Founded in March 1960 and privatized on July 31, 1997, Coelba was the first acquisition of the Neoenergia Group, whose current stake in the company is 87.8%.<\/p><p>Present in 415 of Bahia&#8217;s 417 municipalities, Coelba serves more than 14 million inhabitants in a concession area of 563,000 km\u00b2. Today, the company has more than 4.9 million customers, 87.9% of whom are residential. Of residential customers, 57.7% are classified as low-income.<\/p><h3>About Pol\u00edmata<strong> <\/strong><\/h3><p>Pol\u00edmata Solu\u00e7\u00f5es Ambientais is a company that provides technical assistance, services and environmental consultancy for the rural, tourism and leisure sectors, environmental sanitation, public bodies and civil society in general.
