is a work that integrates different actors in the mobilization for the conservation of socio-environmental resources in the Pontal do Paranapanema, extreme west of S\u00e3o Paulo (SP). By carrying out projects that complement each other, the program is one of the key points of the IP\u00ca Conservation Model.<\/p><p>Environmental education activities in Pontal do Paranapanema began even before IP\u00ca was founded. In the 1980s, biologist Claudio Padua and his field assistant Jos\u00e9 de Souza, researchers of the black lion tamarin, and environmental educator Suzana Padua implemented an integrated program to conserve the species at Morro do Diabo State Park (PEMD), based on research, education and community involvement. During the first phase of research with the black lion tamarin, the need for environmental education became evident, as the researchers realized that conserving the species would require the support and involvement of the community surrounding the park, the last remaining large tract of Atlantic Forest in the interior.<\/p><p>Today, in Teodoro Sampaio, environmental education takes place continuously. One of the most significant results was the inclusion of environmental issues in the city&#8217;s official school curriculum. Collective Construction of Knowledge for Socio-Environmental Sustainability of Pontal do ParanapanemaParanapanema.<\/h3><p>The project's main axis is the practice of education for sustainability, in order to provide its audiences with socio-educational activities that contribute to a deeper reflection on local issues aimed at conservation and socio-environmental sustainability of Teodoro Sampaio. It aims to bring contributions mainly to the demands identified in studies and research carried out in the region, considered important in the search for solutions or reductions in environmental threats to water resources, forestry and biodiversity in the Pontal do Paranapanema Hydrographic Basin region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<div
