neutralization of CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions, and the guarantee of environmental services in public-private areas within the Conservation Units of the Atlantic Forest in the far west of S\u00e3o Paulo. <\/p><p>The project&#8217;s activities also involve the following strategies:<\/p><ol><li>Strategic planning to ensure the project&#8217;s long-term sustainability;<\/li><li>The systematization of processes, experiences and results for the dissemination and replication of lessons;<\/li><li>Dissemination of the project&#8217;s initiatives, actions and results at regional, national and international level; and<\/li><li>Transforming good practices into public policies aimed at the rational use of Brazilian forest and water resources.<br><br>One of the great results already achieved by the project is the formation of the largest forest corridor planted in the Atlantic Forest in Brazil: 12km of forest and more than 2.3 million trees connecting the Morro do Diabo State Park and the Mico-Le\u00e3o-Preto Ecological Station.
